Lita Rossana Ford - also known as Lita Ford - is an American guitar player, singer, and songwriter of British heritage. Ford embarked on a solo heavy metal career following the breakup of her group in 1979. She took voice lessons, and released her first solo album 'Out For Blood'. The album was followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge'. Her albums weren't very popular, and she stayed away for a couple of years. The album she dominated, "Lita", released in 1988 was her return with a bang. It was a big hit for both the song 'Kiss Me Deadly,' along with the ballad 'Close My eyes forever. However, she only was a brief star and was absent from the charts for several years. In 1995 she released "Black," and fifteen years later she released 'Wicked' Wonderland. Her latest album, Time Capsule was released in the year 2016. Her name was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
