Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her first amateur appearance at 18, at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on her triumph in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She finished all of her opponents within the first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia outclassed Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by the first round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to go from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round.
